Welcome to Gosforth U6’s and U7’s Mini Rugby Section, which is at 10am on Sunday mornings. We welcome all boys and girls who may be interested to come down and participate and see if they like it. There is no initial charge for attendance. Once you are up and running, then it is £10 per year for the under 6’s and £50 per year for the under 7’s. Drinks and snacks are provided.
The Under 6’s & 7’s rugby is non contact and training is varied and fun. There is no requirement for any previous rugby (or sport) experience. We train indoors at the ‘Blue Flames’ in Benton from January to March.
I am a parent of two children, both who participate in the Gosforth Minis Club. I have a passion for sport and rugby, having been involved with rugby for most of my life. In particular, I am a Level 3 Coach and have coached the Newcastle Falcons for 2 years after playing for the team for 7 seasons. I have also captained Scotland and achieved 71 International Caps, from 1997 to 2005. All of our coaches have up to date DBS checks and have completed Safeguarding Children training.
